Movement Integration session
01 / Awareness

The body is not a machine to be fixed, but a system to be understood.

As human beings, we are living, self-organizing and self-regulating systems, continuously adapting to gravity, environment, history, emotions and the demands placed upon us.

Through conscious movement, attention and exploration, we begin to notice where the body is holding, fixing, bracing or repeating familiar patterns. Awareness creates the opportunity to soften unnecessary tension and discover new movement possibilities.

02 / Choice
Awareness brings choice. Choice brings change. Change brings freedom.

When the body has more choices, it does not have to rely on the same strategies again and again. Movement can become more efficient, responsive, adaptable and expressive.

03 / Exploration

Educating the lived, sensing body.

Movement Integration explores how you sense yourself, orient in space, distribute effort, and how your joints and tissues cooperate with the whole body and the environment around you.

Sessions may slow movement down, change direction, explore rhythm, spirals, transitions, balance, orientation, support and relationships between different parts of the body.

Rather than telling the body what it should do, the process creates conditions in which it can discover something new.
